About Nels Home

Nels Home is an online marketplace operated by Nels Home Ltd that helps homeowners find trade professionals and helps professionals receive job leads. We are not the employer of professionals listed on the platform and we do not carry out the work ourselves unless expressly stated.

Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account secure.
• Professionals must have the right to work in the UK and hold any licences or qualifications required for their trade.

Using the marketplace

Homeowners may search for professionals, post job requests, receive quotes, and book services subject to these terms and any applicable booking terms.

Professionals may create listings, purchase membership plans, receive leads, and respond to customer enquiries subject to our Listing Submission Terms and membership terms.

You agree not to misuse the platform, including by posting false information, harassing other users, circumventing our lead system, scraping data, or using the service for unlawful purposes.

Quotes, contracts, and work

Any contract for work is between the customer and the professional. Nels Home facilitates introductions and may provide tools for messaging and bookings but is not a party to the underlying trade contract unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.

Customers are responsible for verifying scope, price, insurance, and suitability before hiring. Professionals are responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of their work.

Fees and payments

Searching and posting jobs is free for homeowners unless we state otherwise. Professionals pay membership fees as shown on the Join as a Pro page. Booking payments may be processed through our payment partners and are subject to Booking Terms.

Reviews and content

You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a licence to display, host, and promote it on the platform. Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. We may remove content that breaches these terms or our community standards.

Verification

We carry out checks on professionals before they appear on the platform, but verification does not guarantee the outcome of any job. See the Join as a Pro page for what we check and what homeowners can expect.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nels Home Ltd is not liable for loss arising from work performed by professionals, disputes between users, or indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or pose a risk to other users. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence where applicable.
